Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a method of sending data over a short range from two communicating devices. Bluetooth is wireless and uses radio waves to send data. The short range can be a drawback because the two devices have to be fairly close to each other for the technology to work, but that can also be seen as a benefit as it’s more secure and not easy to hack into from a distant location.

One of the most common applications of Bluetooth is taking a phone call or listening to music on a wireless ear piece from a smartphone or other device close by. Bluetooth can also be used for other applications like personal security, sending an alarm when a device travels outside the range of the connected device. Wi-Fi works in similar ways, but Wi-Fi works better for systems where a lot of devices need to be able to access the connection or when high speeds are a necessity.

A professional mobile app development company may be able to provide assistance if you want to implement Bluetooth functionality into your app.
